- Business Information Haezoom is a leading IT startup in energy, possessing sophisticated technologies such as managing the electricity demand and forecasting solar power generation based on AI technology and satellite data. Based on our IT technology, we are presenting free energy services easily accessible to everyone for the first time in Korea. Along with our online solar power platform (haezoom.com) which has more than 1.4 million users, we provide energy IT services such as ‘HaezoomVPP’ a VPP operating platform, ‘TomorrowPlant’ an application for managing PV systems, and ‘HaezoomOn’ another application for managing the power demand. In December 2014, Haezoom received the grand prize in the ‘Korea Environment and Energy’. Also, Haezoom successfully attracted institutional investment of 5 billion won in 2017, and a strategic investment from GS Energy in 2021. In additional, we attracted investment of 11 billion won from Nautic Investment, NH Investment, GS Energy in 2022. Haezoom established a European corporation in Berlin, Germany, and is researching solar power generation forecasting technology. Through having a MOU with Nextkraftwerke, Europe's largest virtual power plant operator, Haezoom scaled up its capability of sophisticated solar forecasting. Haezoom’s power generation forecasting technology won the grand prize in the Urban Innovation Challenge jointly hosted by the UN-Seoul City in 2018. Haezoom was also the only one to win the prize in both the solar and wind power sector in the 2019 energy forecasting Contest hosted by Korea Power Exchange. Currently, Haezoom is expanding its business to RE100 consulting, DR business, and electricity use consulting services. Through RE100 consulting, Haezoom supports domestic companies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and procure their electricity from renewable energy. Using the DR and electricity consulting service, clients can earn profits by selling saved electricity and also reduce their electric charges by efficient energy use. Furthermore, Haezoom will be established as Korea’s leading energy platform and VPP operator utilizing the optimization AI techniques.
