- Business Information Daesung Hi-Tech (DSHT) headquarter is located at Hyeonpoong in Daegu, Korea and 290 skillful and dedicated employees are working to satisfy customers all over the world. Since its founding in 1995, DSHT has manufactured over 8,000 different precision parts and produced machine tools to fabricate these precision parts for a variety of applications and industries, including industrial machines, semiconductors, automobiles, optics, and medical devices. By utilizing its core high precision manufacturing and high-speed rotating technology, DSHT has expanded its business into renewable energy sectors with Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and Turbo expanders. With collaboration with Calnetix Technologies, an innovative US company, DSHT has successfully installed the world first heat recovery Organic Rankine Cycle unit for a Fuel Cell Power Plant. The Thermapower ORC 125MT unit was commissioned by DSHT in Feb 2016 at Daegu Fuel Cell Power Plant. Currently, we offer 125 kW XLT and MT Models. The Thermapower™ ORC 125XLT (Extra Low Temperature) module generates 125kWe of clean, utility grade power from heat sources around 95ºC (200ºF). The Thermapower™ ORC 125MT (Medium Temperature) module produces the same amount of power from heat sources around 135ºC (275ºF). Recently, DSHT and Calnetix have introduced a new turboexpander for pressure letdown applications for Natural Gas Pipeline and Hydrogen Gas Pipeline. Calnetix has successfully installed new turboexpanders to recover energy from natural gas pressure letdown at the terminal stations in Japan and Italy. KOGAS and City Gas Companies as well as direct natural gas importer like oil refinery companies are all potential customers who can be benefiting from waste pressure energy recovery business. The FreeSpin ™ In-line Turboexpander (FIT) harnesses the power of gas expansion to produce reliable and clean electricity. The FIT uses magnetic technologies that provide a way to capture the energy lost in pressure reduction.
