- Business Information We are BE OPEN Foundation, an international socio-cultural and philanthropic initiative, set up in 2012 to foster creativity and innovation, and to promote people and ideas today to build solutions for tomorrow. BE OPEN operates through a system of conferences, competitions, exhibitions, master classes and cultural events, and we have implemented these projects both online and offline in Italy, the UK, India, the US, and Switzerland. We are a humanitarian initiative that aims to harness the brainpower of creative leaders through a system of conferences, competitions, exhibitions, master classes and art events. For the past 4 years, BE OPEN’s operations have had a special focus on supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, set by the United Nations. BE OPEN strongly believes that creativity is integral in the shift to sustainable existence. That is why BE OPEN has been running a series of SDG-related competitions open to all students and recent graduates who specialise in the fields of art, design, architecture and media. The objective of the programme is to raise awareness of SDGs and contribute to achieving them via recognizing, showcasing and promoting the best design ideas and projects that embody and can advance the principles, aims and implementation of United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Last year, we opened a competition named “Better Energy by Design” focused on SDG7: Affordable and Clean Energy, to collect ideas ensuring that a growing number of households, communities and production companies use green energy technologies. By the end of the submission period, we received hundreds of entries, and after careful evaluation, a shortlist of top entries was made for the winners to be selected from, and awarded with cash grants. BE OPEN is happy to present the top projects here at the Korea Energy Show with the hope that among them the guests and participants of the show may gain insight, inspiration or even investment opportunities to look into.
